Today we begin the topic of saving on cell phone service. Everyone who has cell service should be familiar with the big 4: AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon. There are many other options though!
MVNO = mobile virtual network operator. They are companies that lease capacity from the big 4. This gives them the ability to offer lower prices due to the fact they do not have to pay to maintain the mobile network. You can get the same coverage for half the cost.
Some MVNO’s you may have heard of are:
- Boost Mobile
- Ting
- Project Fi
- Straight Talk
- Walmart Family Talk
These are just a few. Over the next few posts we will go over the pros and cons of these carriers and how you can choose the right one for you.
Here is something to look at. Check your most recent cell phone bill. How much was it? Do you need all the services you are paying for? Would you like to have the same level of service but pay half (or less)?
